DANUrB - Danube Urban Brand

Partner Workshop in Golubac

From October 15 to 17, 2017, the fourth meeting of the DANUrB – project partners took place in Golubac, Serbia. Project partners, associated partners and students from five universities – altogether about 100 participants (PP, ASP, students) contributed to the success of these three intense workshop days.

During the first day both partners and students could catch a first glimpse of the unique landscape of the Đerdap National Parc – better known as Iron Gates - and could therefore experience the natural value of this region. The river Danube, which represents in the case of the Đerdap gorge the border between Serbia and Romania, was explored on land as well as on water.

The following two workshop days were led separately for students and partners:

The student workshops were dealing with the general topic of public space in the spatial field of the city of Golubac. After two days of examining this territory, facing its strengths and weaknesses and elaborating respective concepts, the student-groups could present their results in a final presentation in front of all the involved partners.

The workshops at the Visitor Centre of Golubac Fortress for partners and associated partners were divided into inputs from local stakeholders during the morning units and project related presentations and discussions in the course of the rest of the day. Besides an overview concerning both past and upcoming tasks, the main focus of the workshops laid on a common set of methodology, data collection and ideas of the implementation of the project platform.
